Healthy Snack Idea's

"I'm hungry!", the kids shout as they come streaming through the front door, one child after the other. Books are tossed onto the kitchen table as the ravenous children begin rummaging through the refrigerator. School's out--what to give them . . . fast !?

Here are a few recipes for quick, fun, healthy snacks.

Trail Mix Recipe I

    Raw Virginia Peanuts
    Raw Pumpkin Seeds
    Raw Cashews
    Dried Date Pieces
    Organic Raisins
    Almonds
    Raw Sunflower Seeds
    Mix together.
    Store in zip-lock bag in refrigerator until used.

Trail Mix II

    Raw Virginia or Spanish Peanuts
    Cranberries
    Organic Golden Raisins
    Sunflower Seeds
    Raw Cashews
    Raw Almonds
    Mix together.
    Store in zip-lock bag in refrigerator until used.

Addicting Popcorn Recipe

Heat 1 Tbl. virgin olive oil in pot with lid over medium heat. Add organic popcorn to hot oil. Place lid on pot. When popcorn starts popping, shake pot, making sure lid stays tightly on. When popcorn popping slows down, turn down lid to low or off. Pour out popped corn into large bowl. Add Bragg Liquid Aminos, Parmesan Cheese, and sprinklings of paprika or cayenne. Toss and enjoy.
